		Peter Awane

	Background:	Peter Awane has been a believer for more than 25 years. He spent 18 years translating the Old Testament into his native FraFra language. In 2008 the first translated versions of the Old Testament were in the hands of the FraFra people. Peter is a church planter who runs a ministry which includes a church and school for children of prostitutes and HIV/AIDS patients.
	National's Vision:	Peter will continue to plant churches throughout the region. In addition, he has a heart for working with pastors across non-denominational lines in a spirit of unity to establish a plan to disciple the people of the region. He also envisions establishing a radio ministry to reach thousands!
	How ASON is Assisting:	ASON joined with Peter, his family and local pastors to teach and worship with adults and children in their communities. In a spirit of unity, a number of local churches were represented at these gatherings. ASON assisted with financial funds needed to complete construction of Peter’s school. ASON will continue to assess the needs to accomplish Peter’s God-given vision and provide support as God leads.
