Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Wheaton College, a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Theology from Columbia International University. God gave Chris a heart for missions while he was a college freshman. He has pastored churches in Minnesota and Florida, and he has been a missionary to Brazil. Chris married his wife Rhonda in 1980. Chris and Rhonda have two adult children, both of whom were adopted from India as infants. Chris enjoys classical music, especially that of Bach, Haydn, and Beethoven. He has a deep appreciation for the art of the Florentine Renaissance, Rembrandt, and the Hudson River School. A few spare moments will find him absorbed in the pages of a biography or a Christian classic.

Rhonda grew up in Wisconsin and met her husband while attending Trinity College, where she majored in Social Sciences. She has served alongside her husband in churches in Minnesota, Brazil and Florida. For 9 ½ years she worked as an adoption caseworker at a Christian agency in South Florida. Rhonda has two adult children who arrived home from India as infants. She sings in the praise band at Christ Community Church in Waseca, Minnesota, and assists in leading the church’s worship ministry. Also, she enjoys working in the church’s children’s ministry. Rhonda is currently earning a masters degree in Children and Family Ministries from Bethel Seminary. In her spare time she enjoys reading, walking her dog, and spending time with friends.
