Joanne has been married to her husband Barry for over 45 years. They have three children and nine grandchildren who live in Florida and Georgia. She entered nursing training in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1959, receiving her R.N. in 1962. Although she never planned to follow her parents in a teaching career, she began teaching nursing immediately after graduation and received a B.S.N. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1966 and a Master's in Science Teaching from the University of West Florida in 1988. Joanne practiced nursing for most of Barry's private practice years, then spent over 14 years teaching a variety of sciences in Christian Schools during the family's numerous military moves. In addition to her teaching, Joanne is also heavily involved in Crown Financial training and enjoys reading, scrap booking, and travel, especially to visit grandchildren. She looks forward to working with Ellen and participating in the ministry of ASON.
